Terry Lynn Lindgren, 79, of La Habra, California, passed away on November 27, 2025, after an illness. He was born on October 17, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Harold Pitts Lindgren and LaRae Brady Lindgren.
After completing his education at the University of Utah, he went on to pursue a career in data processing. He worked for the State of Utah and later for a company called Envirotech as a data processing analyst. He then became a Data Base Administrator and went on to be an independent consultant. He later moved with his family to La Habra but still continued to travel in that capacity. He eventually finished his consulting at Scripps Medical in San Diego. He then began work for TRW – later Northrop Grumman, for many years where he eventually retired.
Terry is survived by his wife, Vicki, as well as his daughters Kristin Keppel, Danielle Lindgren, Andrea Lindgren and Diane Josie (Shane). In addition, he is also survived by his beloved brother, Scott (Susan) as well as his grandchildren Austin Keppel, Bailey Mellos (Christian) and Carson Keppel, and several in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews that he held dear. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Blaine and Duane, niece Kimberly and nephew Jonathan.
Terry was a great lover of the outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed camping. He especially loved the relaxation and fun of sitting around the campfire at night laughing and joking with family and friends.
While living in Utah he pursued many sports, including skiing, golf, bowling and just about anything he could try. He also had his yearly deer hunt that began when he was a young boy and was something he loved doing with his father and brothers, and later with his cousins and friends. He soon developed a keen love of heavy duty off roading that he continued later on, even more so after moving to California. Although there were many areas of California, Nevada and Arizona where he loved wheeling, his great love was the canyons and hills of Southern Utah, especially Moab. In later years he would go at least once a year to Moab. He became very good at just about everything he tried.
Terry always made the statement that he was a jack of all trades and a master of none. However, it can be said that there weren’t many things he couldn’t either figure out or fix. He will be greatly missed.
There is no formal service planned at this time, but there will be a small celebration of life to be determined at a later date.
