Mary Nadalin Obituary

Mary Nadalin, age 67, passed away March 27, 2025.  She was the sixth of eight children born to Kathleen V. and John A. Hammerbacher, Jr. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; daughter, Veronica; her parents; and sister, Ellen Glennon.  She is survived by four sisters: Eileen Lyon, Nancy Babcock, Kathy Underwood and Susan Mazzarella, as well as two brothers, John A. Hammerbacher, III, and Mark F. Hammerbacher and their spouses.

In 1980, Mary met and married the love of her life, Michael. She was a stay-at-home mom to Veronica and later worked as a florist and in the durable medical equipment field.

Mary was a dedicated wife and mother, always involved in all her daughter’s activities, whether school, orchestra or girl scouts.

An avid music lover, having over a thousand albums and CDs, Mary knew the lyrics to innumerable songs, and any spoken phrase or word could set her to singing. She also loved movies, the theater and everything Disney. She loved cooking, Halloween, and New Orleans, especially Mardi Gras. She always remembered birthdays and anniversaries with a call and/or card.

Mary was sharp, quick-witted and vibrant, with a great sense of humor. Those who had the pleasure to have known her know that she was a fiercely loyal friend, who would give you the shirt off her back.

Mary was deeply loved by her family who will sorely miss her warmth, wit and generosity.  We take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and is now reunited with lost loved ones.
