Jesse Madrigal Obituary

Jesse Madrigal, 86, of Cypress, CA, passed away in his home on April 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after his battle with cancer. Jesse was born January 8, 1939, to the parents of Pedro (Pete) Madrigal and Josephine DeLeon Madrigal, in Hysham, MT.

After graduating from Anaheim High School, he went on to join the Navy in March 1958. He served on the USS Hornet until he was honorably discharged in February 1963.  He was later hired by the Anaheim Union High School District, where he worked for forty years before retiring in the year 2000.

Jesse married Mary Evelyn Correia on August 12, 1964, in Las Vegas, NV. They were happily married for 34 years before the passing of Evelyn in 1998.

Family and friends were everything to Jesse. In his younger days, he liked to socialize with his friends at the Moose Lodge, VFW, and American Legion. He enjoyed taking his family on camping trips, traveling to Mexico, fishing, and road trips across the country to find his favorite casino. Jesse and Evelyn loved company, they were always hosting gatherings and parties at their home. He was an extremely beloved grandfather and did anything he could to make his grandkids happy.

Jesse is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Evelyn Madrigal; his parents, Pete and Josephine Madrigal; his brothers, Richard and Louis Madrigal; his sister, Rita Perez; and his granddaughter, Adriane Madrigal.

He is survived by his son Paul Madrigal, daughters Margaret Cameron and Rose Crady; his sisters Cecelia Barra and MaryLou Montgomery; and his six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Rest in peace, Jesse. You will forever be in our hearts.
