Ina Belle O'Neal beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend passed peacefully in her sleep on February 5, 2017, in Fullerton, CA.
Ina was the last born of six siblings in Boise City, OK on 7/19/1938. She described herself as 5’2” tall with Hazel eyes and hair that was dirty-blond in color. She was raised in Clayton, NM where she graduated from Clayton High School and then went on to earn a degree at Albuquerque Business College.
Ina worked as a secretary for the Orange County Health Department for over 22 years. In her retirement years, Ina served on a committee at Assisted Living homes where she organized activities, outings and handled recommendations for residents.
Ina had an extraordinary compassion for collecting puzzles, turtles, coins and jewelry; she loved road trips, enjoyed playing slot machines, loved attending the Orange County Fair, family gatherings, drinking margaritas, and getting her nails manicured. Her favorite meal was breakfast. Once retired, she eliminated all of her alarm clocks and watches.
She is survived by her children Jim, Greg and Peggy O’Neal, ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Anyone that knew Ina loved her. She was a strong, witty, smart and funny woman that loved her family very much. Ina will be missed by her family, and all that knew her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Yorba Linda Friends Church located at 5211 Lakeview Avenue, Yorba Linda, CA 92886.
